Question about Hitachi DZ-GX3100A DVD Camcorder

Wont play on computer or dvd player

When we record on the camcorder we go to play on the dvd or the computer, it wont show up as recorded. When we play on the camcorder we can see what we recorded! how do we fix this problem

Disc must be finalized before it can be played back on DVD player or DVD recorder.

I have a Samsung recorder, and it requires you to "finalize" the disc before it will play on another unit. Check your manual for specifics, or look in your menu for the "finalize disk" option. Hope this helps...

You have to finalize the recording using the Camcorder so that the disk can be play/run in any DVD Player or Computer.

I recorder my video on non- SONY DVDs. Now the video is showing only on the camcorder but on other medias like my laptop and DVD player it is showing as a blank. Is there anything I can do to correct it or...
It may just be the format that it was recorded in. Try downloading vlc player then try to play the video from the dvds. You can download it here:

Lost recordings
It is required to finalize the recording in the Camcorder in order to play the recording in any device like DVD player or in Computer.

First finalize the recording in the Camcorder and then try playing the DVD in any DVD player.

After finalizing the DVD, a DVD player will be able to play the disk.

Refer the User Guide page # 44 of 139 for the instruction to finalize the recording in the Camcorder.

Recorded DVD will not play in another player
try playing on computer. if ok copy on hard drive and burn it. if it wont work on your computer. there was an error in the making of the disk..

The dvd's recorded from our camcorder won't play in dvd player. It can be viewed in the camcorder but when we try and play it in our DVD player it won't read the DVD. Our DVD player is only a few months...
well what you need to do is take out the dvdr disc you recorded with then put in the computer and burn it onto a real DVD disc

I recorded my movies on the dw 100 but now i can't grt them to play on my dvd player
The DW-100 records discs based on the format they were originally recorded.

If your camera is recording HiDef videos than the discs this unit creates will be viewable on a Blu-ray disc player.

If your camera is recording in Standard Definition (ie. NOT HD) then I believe that the discs will work in regular or upconverting DVD players.

My Canon camcorder does not record in Standard Def so can't quite vouch for that last comment though.

What are the compatible types of DVD's that the Daewoo DVD5800 player is supposed to play? Is DVD-R among the compatible types? Try playing the new recordings on a computer that has a DVD drive, or a friend's computer.

How to Record From a TV Using PV-GS13?
connect a lead via your tv video out audio out jacks. Select tha appropriate channel (You may have to go through the av channel on you tv and tune in the channel you want to record) or, video or dvd player audio out video out jacks. connect other end to your camcorder. Select on the camcorder menu video in audio in. Turn on tv. If connected to video or dvd player, press play. Press record on your camera. When finished recording press stop. Presuming the camcorder is tape, you can buy a tape adaptor to play or record your mini tapes in a standard video recorder, then take them out of the adaptor and play them back on your camcorder. You can also do all this via a computer. Also if the camcorder is disk or hard drive it can be used the same way as a regular dvd recorder to record tv programmes once connected to you t.v. I have an Hitachi GX3100A Camcorder. I was recording when the battery died. When I got back into it, it wanted me to repair. I chose yes to the repair. It tried to repair, but then returned error: Error occurred. Please replace disc. Is there any way to recover the important data on the disc?
