I have the same problem and have removed all program files and reloaded drivers from Internet. Still cannot get mic and face tracking working. WHY WOULD PHILIPS MARKET A CAM THAT DOES NOT WORK WITH VISTA!!!! WHAT A RIP OFF AS WE ALL KNOW WE CANNOT RETURN GOODS. I am severly not happy and will never buy absolutely any other Philips product ever again.I have the same problem and have removed all program files and reloaded drivers from Internet. I bought the SPC900NC/00 in January 2008. It worked fine on my previous PC, XP OS, but will not work on my new PC Vista.
Haven't been able to connect to Yahoo Messenger.
(I've downloaded, installed and uninstalled the driver for Vista from the Philips site several times.)

It is a DRIVER issue. You DO NOT have the right driver for your webcam and Win7. Try the XP Drivers.
Here is how to Install them so they work.
Download your XP driver you wish to install. If it's in a zip/rar file then extract it to your desktop.
You should have a simple .exe file sitting on your desktop to install the drivers, as normal for XP.
Right click the .exe file and select "Properties".
Then select the tab called "Compatibility"
Now check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Make sure "Windows XP Service Pack 2" is highlighted.
Now apply the settings and run the installer.
This should work for most drivers, but not all

Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall
the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you
to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
firstly uninstalled the webcam drivers and reboot your computer and you have to download webcam driver for xp supported from www.acer.com and install it or reinstalled your windows xp then install the xp drivers

Hey xanthia2313,
According to the manufacturer this webcam is not compatible with Vista. You can try searching for a driver that would make it work using the update driver option.
I had the same problem with the vf-0050 on a win vista x32 PC. I Downloaded the latest XP driver from creative and installed it. THe camera works fine with MSN messenger and skype. I'll have to wait and see if it works with x64 as well.
Hope this works for you.
