Changed battery - watch is stuck in "Timer" mode. I can not get the mode to change to set the time or change the display to the watch function. While the timer is running I can press the "set-clear" button on the side and it shows the time as long as I hold the button down.
Try holding all of the buttons down at the same time and then releasing them. This should reset the watch. If that does not work, then you need to take the back cover off again and briefly create a short (with a metal screw driver for example) between the battery and the 'brass' casing.
