Icemaker not working

System was working fine. Refrigerator was moved slightly to get behind it. The icemaker has not worked since. I followed the justintimer/catriver posts to get started on troubleshooting. The water line is not frozen, but no water is provided. I measured the voltage at the valve, and when I jumper L & V no voltage is provided to the valve. Likewise, jumpering T&H had no effect. In all cases, I had the infrared detector turned on and I manually moved the door and bucket so that the light went from blinking to full on. The whole system is acting like it is turned off or not getting power, but I don't know how to troubleshoot any further. Any help is much appreciated.

The power to valve is not constant, it is only applied for an extremely short period, fault is either the infrared reciever or the main PCB, this is located in the back on the right in a black bpox , as veiwed from the back. Regards Advisor

Ice machine does not make ice

No guide that I know of .

Open the freezer door and see if the laser light on the right side , flashes twice , then pause , repeatedly . Close the flap on the left side , and the laser should stop flashing . If this is what occures , then the optics ( cut off of the icemaker ) are ok . If you open the freezer and no laser on the right , check the position of the "rake" inside the icemaker . Close the freezer door for about 1 min , and then recheck the position of the rake . If it hasn't moved , then the icemaker is bad .
If the light flashes 2 times then pauses , pour about 2/3 cup of water into the icemaker , and check later , to see if the ice maker has dumped the cubes . If did not dump , replace the icemaker . If did dump , and did not fill with water , then the water valve behind the refrig is bad . Also check the black fill tube above the ice maker fill cup , to see if it is iced up , keeping the water from going into the fill cup . If it is frozen , then replace the water valve , due to seeping ( not closing completely ) , causing the slight drip , to freeze inside the tube .
This is the only guide I know of and it's called an experience guide .

About every 15 to 20 minutes there is a buzzing type sound that lasts between 5 -10 seconds. Then the compressor goes on and refrigerator works fine. Temperature in freezer and refrigerator are correct. It...

Sounds like you have an icemaker that is not connected to water . You need to turn the icemaker off at the icemaker . The buzzing , is the water valve behind refrig , being called for but no water to deliver .

No water going in the ice maker but water dispener

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into icemaker . If it freezes and does not dump , replace the icemaker . Check to make sure the coils are clean of dust , lint , pet hair , etc . If it does dump , and does not refill with water , replace the water inlet valve ( piece behind refrig where the wall water line connects to on the fridge ) . Check to make sure the fill tube that fills the icemaker is not blocked with ice , still indicating a bad water inlet valve ( slow seep ) .

Icemaker doesn't work and it was working fine. What do I need to check.

Look at the "fill" tube that fills icemaker with water. If it is frozen, replace water valve located behind fridge in compressor department, hint: it is blue... If not frozen up, it may be the icemaker... It's either the icemaker or the water valve UNLESS your ice bucket is located in the door, then it could be the "optical" computer board eye that "see's" accross the ice bucket....

Icemaker won´t work

if you got 110 volts to ice maker. try jumping out the T & H ( a small insulated copperwire) . this will cause the ice maker cycle, if this does nothing replace the ice maker.(entire assy cheaper then the parts). remeber you might have to shut the door switch to get the 110v. some machines run the power through light switch

Water runs out of G.E. icemaker where water first goes to icemaker

The only reason for the loops is so that you can move the refrigerator out. The loops act like an accordion allowing the unit to move in and out without kinking the line.
You probably have some ice frozen in the icemaker where the water comes in. If this is the case, remove the icemaker and thaw it out and try again.
You need to make sure there is enough water getting to the fridge. Inadequate water fill can cause this to happen. I am curious as to why you changed the water line. Was it leaking or some other problem?
Make sure the water line is not kinking behind the fridge when you have it pushed into place.
If you need more help, please post the complete model number so I can look it up and I will see what I can do.

Kenmore Elite (Whirlpool) icemaker not working

It sounds like you have done all you can before calling the repairman. When you moved it you may have pinched the line or restricted the water input somehow. Check this first.
