Question about Hyundai ImageQuest DPD4210 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
Hi , This is a common fault and easily fixed ,Ive posted some stuff under the hyundai 4240 section, 3 inch black lines , Please go through all the posts as there are links to photos to help you along , Tip , Use a digital camera for log you process so you know where all the screws and cables go , also , lift the brown strip upwards and slide the ribbon cable out ,and do the repair to them all..you understand once you read all the links

Ive fixed a few of these now and thought i would make a quick video ,HOW TO FIX the hyundai black line fault,, Hope this gives you confidence to tackle the problem yourself or even buy faulty ones to reapir and make a profit,,

Had the same problem. Was quoted $800 to fix. Searched the internet for 6 months and found this thread on avforums.com

Read through all the posts. Very simple fix, but you have to have some mechanical inclinations or you can cause more problems than you started with. I was up to 5 of the black lines, but decided to attempt the soldering these guys did and fixed it all for the cost of a soldering iron! Even if you decide not to attempt it, it gives you somewhere to start to tell a technician.

a 3inch black line from top to bottom of screen stays on for couple of hours goes then comes back once turn tv on
