My tv power turns on for a second and then turns off . I received the folowing response from someone . I have an additional question below.
Response from TV Mechanic
They are little green soldered in fuses located on the center board (the one with the STK's on it) toward the rear of the set near the large transformer.
Thank you for your response above . One additional question - where is t he single convergence IC part#STK393-110 located?
Tried your self diagnosis . The lights blinked just once , then again once . This went on for the 5 times . However we did not that both Fuses F9A04 & F9A05 are open when we put a meter on it . If it only blinked once , short pause another blink it would seem that based on your memo no error detected. However the power light will not stay on . Let me know your thoughts .

Re:
This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR LEAKY C9A60 470 PF 1000 V PART # 154P400030, PARALLEL TO D9A57 ON THE POWER PCB. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR OPEN FUSES F9A04 AND F9A05 ON THE +24 AND -24 VOLT LINES. IF THE FUSES ARE OPEN THE CONVERGENCE OUTPUT CIRCUIT WOULD BE SUSPECT.

Your problem is not shown on schematic, C9A60 (470 pf @ 1000 v) capacitor and check and see if F9A04 & 05 are open. If so then its off to a whole different area. Do you have an email to send Sch.?
It is not hard to find, because they are the largest IC's on the boards. It maybe on the signal bd. if so this is the other board beside the one that has the large flyback with the wires coming out of it going to your tubes. It usually have a large heat sink in back of it silver most of the time with fins.

One of the 3 CRT's being bad is a possibility but more than that at one time no. If the picture doesn't come on at all or any menus showing up the most likely you have a power supply or high voltage issue. Have a technician look at it for the best diagnosis.
