Syncmaster 941bw coming up blank

I have a Syncmaster 941bw LCD monitor, ans it was working just fine. I went to get some food, and came back and the monitor was blank and the power switch was blinking green. I tried restarting my system, and nothing came up on screen, but i could hear Windows come up. I tried running a test on th monitor for the didgital signal, and it passes, but then the light goes to blinking green again

I just bought a new video card about a week ago, and everything was working fine. I have found that the monitor will work in analog mode. but if I switch it to digital mode, it goes back to the blinking green light.

I have the monitor plugged into the DVI port on my video card. I had tried both DVI ports on the video card, and the one on my mother board, and get the same response on each one. I have have reseated the video card and made sure the DVI cable was securly plugged in, in both the monitor and the video card. When I turn my system on I can heae it post, and then I can Windows start up, but I do not see any video, and the light continues to blink green.

I have the monitor plugged in using DVI. I have tried both DVI ports on the video card, and the one for onboard, they all have the same results. I have reseated the video card several times, and still get no video. I have made sure that the video cable was securly plugged in, in both the monitor and the video card. I can here my system post, and then I can hear Windows startup, but there is no video, and the monitor is blinking green. If I set the monitor to analog mode, it gets video, but the screen just says check VGA cable. When I switch it back to Digital mode, the screen goes blank, and the monitor light blinks green.

How do you have it hooked up? VGA, DVI, or HDMI?

Check the video card. It sounds as if your video card failed. Sorry.

Hummm. Try to unplug everything, reconnect, than restart. If not working, try to plug your monitor on a different computer to diagnose what is wrong, the computer or monitor. It could also be your graphic adapter, verify that it is firmly attached to the motherboard.
Lastly, replace the defective part.

Hi. I have intel graphics card Intel Q965/Q963. I am trying to use Samsung SyncMaster 941BW but not able to set up the recommended resolution of 1440 * 900 as do not get as an option in Desktop...

I would suggest you go to the Intel web site and download the specific drivers for your graphics card. Often, the drivers that come with computers do not carry the latest revision for your card.
After installing the drivers, see if you have the 1440x900 resolution which is native to your 941BW.
Good luck.

Blank screen the screen has been working for over a year and all of a sudden went blank its not my pc as i plugged my pc into another screen and worked fine.... the standby flashing stops flashing when i...

Since you have tried another monitor with your computer, then we can only assume that your LCD monitor had gone bad.
If the light is green but you can't see anything on the screen, then most likely the backlight has gone bad. Unless you want to take the monitor apart, I would suggest buying a new monitor.

Hi I have a samsung syncMaster 920N The screen has suddenly gone blank - the power light is showing. I have a second identical monitor and have swapped cables but no difference Is it a repairable fault?...

This happened to me a few months back. I removed all cables and left it for 2 days. Switched back on on it worked fine. That is until yesterday when half the screen went black. I found that my driver was out of date. I have undated the driver but have decided to leave it off and unplugged for another day.
You could try this. You say you have another monitor, i would suggest using it for a few days and the try the old one again.

Monitor will not come on power light blinking blue

According to the manual, the frequency may be out of the range of the monitor. Adjust the frequency to the range needed by the monitor. Normally 60Hz will work fine.

Samsung Syncmaster 941BW No power

My Samsung 941BW would not display, only a flashing blue power button; no-onscreen menu, nothing. The internal power supply had 9 CapXon brand capacitors. Two (C109 & C110) were bulging. I replaced all except the huge 100uF 450V Cap and Presto-Magico....the monitor works fine now. If you are comfortable replacing circuit card components, go for it! Thanks for the tip, budmrtn!

DEAD SCREEN

Disconnect completely computer and display form power cable for ten minutes, plug them back and restart ().This is called hard reset.
If you still have the problem try checking the display video cable, both in the monitor and computer socket.
If it still does not work connect PC to a different monitor, just to test that is not the pc or the video card the problem.
If it still does not work the blackout may have caused a short in your monitor or a system failure on pg then get back here and post the new problem.
