My camera shows a blue screen when I record

I have a Digital Video Camcorder D5000iMini DV. It functions properly on play back but when i press the record button, it displays a dark blue screen with blurred images in negetive.Initially I tried to Switch it off then on again , It used to work but now it does not record. Please let me know what is the cause and what is to be replaced or repaired. I do not trust local vendors, who prefer to make money and might damage it.

J'ai exactement le même probléme depuis le mois d'août 2007. J'ai pas encore trouvé de solutions. De même je pense qu'en absence d'un service technique de Samsung, donner l'appareil à un bricoleur du coin n'est qu'une aventure.

CCD sensor is faulty. Must be replaced and your agent should do this free of charge. If you have to pay for this repair then expect to pay +- 30% of the price of a new camera . But the repair is very effective and you should get couple of years out of your camera afterwards.

Camcoder (Panasonic PV-GS15) does not play back recording

Sorry to say- but it is trashed.. It would cost more to fix it than it would be to buy a new one.

If you can play back ok but cannot record then your CCD sensor is faulty: replace CCD block.

My GR-AXM18 JVC Compact VHS w/LCD Screen isn't recording!!

Blue means that there is no signal. It can be that the head is dirty. Use a cleaning casette, (do not use cotton swab and alcohol)

Camera screen

does the screen isn't working either when you record and when you play tapes? if you record a tape and you play it on another camera, does it look good? if both answers is "yes", chances are screen is faulty. however, if screen doesnt work (remains blue or black) only when playing tapes but functions well while recording, it may be solved by using a cleaning cassette.
