The "Express FRZ" light and associated bell on my LG 26922 has started to rapidly cycle between on and off. So rapidly that it sounds like a pinball arcade. It doesn't do it continuously but may rest for a couple of minutes then start up its beeping a new.
The fridge seems to work OK but the bell is annoying.
Is there a way to disable it as I never use that feature?
What is the warranty on that feature? The unit is 3 years old...
Thanks
My bell rings constantly, sometimes switching from lock to unlock, sometimes not changing anything on the display. It rings sometimes as often as 40 times a minute, and then goes for days without ringing. My bell rings constantly, sometimes switching from lock to unlock, sometimes not changing anything on the display. Wow, almost a year later but here goes; I use combinations of buttons to disable/change settings on my LG. To disable the bell press and hold Express Frz then press and hold Filter until the display 'flashes' once, the bell should cease.

Re:
Sounds like a short in the control.it would not be covered with LG warranty
LG WARRANTY is only 1 Year Parts and Labor
and 7 Years on the Sealed System

Press and hold FRZ TEMP button and REF TEMP button at the same time for 3 seconds. And see if that makes any difference in the problem.

If the problem is same then try the manual reset procedure. In manual reset the unit has to be unplugged from power outlet for 24 hours. Then empty both the fridge and freezer section completely. Then after 24 hours.Clean the melted ice water from the inner parts. Then reconnect the power cord of the unit to power outlet.Set the temperature to normal settings. It will take near to 4 hours for your unit to run its regular cooling cycle.Once this is done then check,if the same problem is seen.-----------This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
Check your ref/frz settings. Check the condensing coil for dust/lint/other. You may also have a defrost problem. Check back panel in frz for ice/frost. Try emptying unit and leaving it off and doors open for 24 hrs. If it starts cooling afterwords, is probably dft cycle.
Sounds like your door sensors are going bad and are not relaying to the computer that the doors are fully closed, with that being said you will need to replace them and also at the same time it will stop the door locks from going crazy
the lights are most likely the third brake light on the decklid... small line of led brake lights small unit.. i would clean the ignition switch with some quick start and cycle the key in and out to clean up the contact on the bottom some times soda or coffe gets in there and makes the car think that the cars key is in the ignition
If you are ABSOLUTLY POSITIVE this is where the Coolant is coming from the ONLY Sorce is Freeze plugs ,There are Usualy 2 Behind the Flywheel. Sorry For the BAD NEWS but this IS the only thing that can Leak Out of the Bell Housing, Transmissiou Must Come Out and Flywheel also, Once The Flywheel is OUT you will see the FREEZE PLUGS. Good Luck !! Please RATE ME !!!!!!!!!!!!
I had the same problem. I used the code 660 and that works fine for power, volume, and stations for my Insignia with the bell remote. Hold tv button till all 4 lights light up and then press 660 # and everything (minus the menu option) should work. I also tried these insignia codes (which might work if this dont.) 659, 573, 570, 405, 245, 456.
You have either a water fill or water temperature problem. Not sure because you couldn't be specific on the error problem. You will need to call a qualified LG technician to diagnose this properly.
ezactly the same problem
