SOURCE: I am trying to use my SanDisk mobilemate SD + can

Plug the SanDisk into the first computer. It should show up as a disk drive. You can drag&drop files from your computer to the SanDisk the same way you copy files around on your computer. Then remove the SanDisk (depending on the operating system, you may have to "unmount" it first) and plug it into the second computer. Drag&drop files from it to the computer's hard drive.

SOURCE: how to recover data from corrupted hard drive?

try other usb port, or other computer and see whether the hdd is detected. If still not, try to go to device manager ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm ), and then assign a drive letter to the hdd. After that, try to access it from Computer, if not able to access it, format it (use quick format) and then use this file recovery program called asoftech data recovery to recover your files.

SOURCE: cant initialize drive to recover

first, recover your files. You will need to use something like this data recovery program.

After you get back your files, you can then format the drive and reinstall your system.

Can you recover pictures from a corrupted PNY SD 512MB card? If so how?

1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is asoftech photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

How do i shut off write protection

Hi, i have here a photo that will show you on how to remove write protect on a micro SD.
1. You need to insert your micro SD into an adapter. 2. Unlock the micro SD through your adapter as shown below. 3. Once done, your micro SD is no longer write protected. eibraz_16.jpg

NOTE: The lock switch doesn't lock the micro SD into the adapter; The lock switch doesn't lock the data on the micro SD; The lock switch simply tells the "user" not to write. It just says "please, don't write me."
I hope this helps.
