Assign photos right, my phone is really taking the p. i've been trying to assign photos to people that ring me. i've tried reading the manual; no help there. anybody got an KG800 and know how to do that?

you can't add a photo which you have sent through Bluetooth as it is stored in a emulated environment. try to move the photo first on your images folder or whichever folder you want thereby removing it from the emulated environment. then go to contacts, tap menu, tap the contact you want to edit, tap the image, tap assign or replace, then locate the images you move and assigned it.

else you can also try the work around.
locate the folder where you stored the transferred photo, tap the image, tap menu, tap set as, there are some options asking you what you want to do, set as wallpaper, etc and one of them is set as contact photo, tap set as contact photo, locate the contact whom you want to assign the image and then tap save.

Can not really understand what exactly you have done. Please try the following steps:
1. Assign static IP on pc 1 as 192.168.1.2 assign subnet mask as 255.255.255.0. 2. No need to assign default gateway and DNS. 3. Assign static IP on pc 2 as 192.168.1.3 assign subnet mask as 255.255.255.0. 4. No need to assign default gateway and DNS.
Open dos and try to ping. In case if the ping fails then disable all the firewall on both the pc's and try again.
If you are running windows vista then in network and sharing center make sure network discovery and file sharing is enabled.

sound problem or volume right?,,,check the sound device or speaker of your mobile.. if the volume is active try to change it

Inorder to assign a ringer id on Moto phones, Plz goto to contact of a particular person u want to assign thru phone book, U will find a an option RInger ID.

Note: This option shows up only if the contacts are saved in phone memory.

You can always refer ur phone manual. (if u dont have a manual then, you can download the eManual for phone)

did u try removing the battery and reinserting after 2 min..

and if already tried,

then try dialing from other phones, or check the assign tone in ur phone contact from which ur testing to be assigned with some ring tone...

If you set the profile ring tone to OFF. Then select a contacts' number and assign it a Ring Tone. When that contact calls you the Ring Tone you assigned will ring.
If you select the same Ring Tone for all your contacts in a group they will all sound the same when they call.
Or select the same ring tone for a profile, but cancel the Tone you assigned to the contact(s).

I don't know how you can assign pics/music to sim contacts - I tried but I couldn't work it out as well. When I click 'edit' on a sim stored contact a menu appears with memory, name and number only.

However, if you move your contacts from sim to phone, you will be able to assign both pictures and ringtones. This time the edit menu extends to home, mobile and office number, e-mail, group, ringtone and photo (with photos make sure size is 680x480 or smaller).

The phone CANNOT ADAPT any other image size to the caller contacts list!

this sounds like a short circuit inside the devise. Have a repair specialist check it with the proper tools.
