Messages held in outbox...queued

This could be because your messages is too full in your inbox and your sent box. Try deleting your inbox and Sent folder to make room

The message symbol wont go away and there are no messages in the inbox

it may actually be the msg for the outbox msg which has failed to be sent try opening the outbox and sent folders also and if there are any msgs in the outbox then either copy them to drafts folder or delete them and the msg box will be gone

Nokia n95 saves messages in inbox, drafts and sent etc..

This is very easy to deal with.
Firstly Backup your phone contents.
goto menu -> settings -> general -> restore factory settings.
use code 12345
Fixed.
if that fails then turn your phone off and press and hold
*, 3 and the Green call button while you power up your phone.
this is a hard reset and will format the contents of your phone memory, if problems persist after this then format you memory card too. and hard reset again.
