I hit: Menu > Navigator > 1. Navigator. Phone get stuck on screen unless I press [[END]] or close the screen. Tried the "Location" fix, and it didn't do any good, it was already set to {Location On}. I switched between {E911 Only} and {Location On} just to see if it did any good, and it didn't. I tried recycling power (removing battery), and waited forever to see if the screen was just loading slowly. Nothing. If it means anything, I've had the problem since New Years Eve.I hit: Menu > Navigator > 1. Navigator. Phone get stuck on screen unless I press [[END]] or close the screen. I checked under Menu > Get It Now > Get Going and it said my [[Navigator]] was expired on January 1st, 2008. That's complete BS because I pay monthly for the service, and it should never expire... I did try upgrading the version, with no luck. Tomorrow I am going to the Verizon Store and giving them an earful. Update to follow...
Follow this:
1. Go to Settings & Tools.
2. Select option 5 (Phone Settings)
3. On next window select option 5 again (Location)
4. After the selection is made you should see 2 selection options. a.) Location ON & b.) E911 only.
5. If the selection is on "E911 only" your Navigation system will not work. Change the election to "Location ON" and after selecting this option, exit and go to Navigation.

Since the operating system and navigation software are preloaded into
the internal flash memory of the GPS, the freezing may either be
software or hardware failure. First, press the "Reset" button or push
the stylus into the "Reset" hole, to see if the navigation software can
load successfully. If the program still does not load, then the
software may be corrupted. Also, if the internal memory fails to read
or write and the software cannot load properly, it may be caused by
hardware failure. In either case, please return the unit for exchange
or repair to the retail location from which you purchased it, or contact
us for further assistance. The link below has the operating manuals and software available and contact numbers. Thanks for using Fixya, please accept my solution.
Installing the DVD Map Disc
Your dealer/retailer may have installed the map DVD. If the map DVD was not installed, do the following to load it:
Read the following steps completely.
Turn the ignition on. The vehicle must be in P (Park) to perform this operation.
Press (power) to turn the navigation system on.
Press the NAV hard key.
Touch the Insert Map Disc screen button. The screen opens to access the map DVD slot.
Load the map DVD partway into the slot. The system pulls it in.
The screen cannot be closed until a double beep is heard. Notice: Pressing directly on the navigation screen may cause damage. Repairs would not be covered by the vehicle's warranty. Do not press directly on the navigation screen.
To close the screen, slightly push up on the two outer corners until the screen is in position. Then push the screen in by pushing on the four outer corners until a click is heard.
Set the search area. See "Setting the Search Area" earlier in this section.
Ejecting the DVD Map Disc
The navigation portion of the system cannot be used if the DVD map disc is not loaded.
Press the MENU key to enter the Menu options, then press the MENU key repeatedly until Nav is selected or touch the Nav screen button.
Touch the Map Database Information screen button.
Touch the Eject Map Disc screen button. The screen tilts, exposing the map DVD slot.
Press the eject button, located next to the DVD map disc slot, and the disc ejects. Pull the disc out.
