Slam the door shut a few times, to get the switched back into place, then press cancel followed by the clock button to set the time, then clock again to confirm, it worked for me, good luck.
Sometimes a keypad may not work because the door switches are faulty. When the door switches are working correctly it will allow the keypad to operate. They tell the microwave that the door is closed and the unit is dafe to use.
Many models have 3 door switches, it's wise to get all 3 replaced at once.

The microwave has a two door switch. I removed the microwave case and took an inside look as to check if anything is out of the ordinary. The keypad's circuitboard looks fine; all transistors look in place. I forgot to mention earlier when describing what appeared on the keypad. Where the clock displays, it looks as if it has digits of "8" across the board (looks like five "8's"). Under the first "8" it says "Auto Start". Under second "8" it says "LBS" and "DEF". Under the third "8" its says HOLD" and "TIME". Under the fourth "8" it says "SENSOR" and "BROWN". Under the last eight it says "TEMP" and "COOK". To the top far right it says number 18 and underneath it says "POWER". Under "POWER" it says "OZ" and next to it "SL" and underneath roman numeral number III.
So every function lights up like a christmas tree! If I open the door and then close it, I notice the fan moving a little bit. To see if I can "reset" the keypad, I disconnected the majority of the cables, put them back in place, turned on the microwave but still gave me the same problem.
I can't seem to find any forum, any user guide for this model. More help please....
Thanks!
