Screen Problems Hello! I have an Acer Travelmate 2420. The probem is, while i'm working, its screen sometimes becomes blank, (black-colored) but the backlight is still there. Sometimes however it turns blue, magenta, purple or something else. I think it is a problem of the monitor's wire connection or something.
The weird thing is that it still plays audio.
Example: I opened up my media player then i began listening to music. Then the screen turns black. It still plays the songs i've loaded and i can still control the volume using keyboard shortcuts.
Please help!

Try reinstall the video drivers as it looks like an issue with the video adpater. To do so:
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> install Application & Drivers> Select the appropriate Video driver (Intel, NTI etc as per your computer spec) and install it. Restart the computer and check, the issue should be resolved. If not, then I am sorry I bet the computer needs repair.
You don't need the original setup cd as long as you have the windows cd you can boot up the pc using that cd and just repair the windows or install it over cause its only a file messed up. Get back to me
