It will display the screen that says SGH-A707 then it won't load and will shut off what should I do?
Found the answer! It's your charger. It even does it with the AT&T brand charger (what i have, cost me $30!! GR!).Get a genuine samsung charger.
Search for "CAD300MBEB" on Amazon.com or Ebay.
$19.99 on Samsung's website or $10 shipped on Ebay or
$3.50 to $3.95 on Amazon.com For Samsung Car Charger
Remember to: Start car, plug phone into charger THEN plug the charger into the
car. That's the instructions on the charger's package.

Look at your little LCD display, there could be a hairline crack. Same thing happened to mine and i couldn't figure it out until I looked very closely and saw a little crack.

If you are not good at repairing small electronics (taking apart and putting back together) then get a pro to do it. I found out the hard way that trying to pry off the cover around the display (with the tools that came with my replacement LCD for my samsung a737 ) is the wrong way.
Under the battery are two very small screws that come out. Remove these first, they should be very short and have a very wide and flat head.
Then with the phone closed pry up the bottom the of the top slider and then push the slider top down (some what hard to pry and slide). You only need to move it about 1mm then you should be able to lift the whole top off. This is the hardest part of the job.
Then disconnect the the ribbon cable by flipping up the little gard along the top of the ribbon at the connector. This guard rotates to a 90degree angle straight up. Be carefull to not rip appart the flip connector. then slide the ribbon out.
Then flip the top over and remove the now exposed screws on the top along the edges.
and now you should be able to figure everything else. Three more ribbon connectors to the display to finally remove.
To put back together again just do the same in reverse.
I charge $30 plus shipping to do this for you. Plus the cost of the screen if you don't have a new one to ship and use.
Looking towards the future with you,

SOURCE: wont power up
I have the same problem of late. Happens with my new battery (from Samsung) and old one that still works. Am waiting for response from samsung. In the mean time my only solution is to remoce the battery and leave it for a couple of hours then the phone does boot up normally.
Problem reoccurs when I charge.

Usually answered in minutes!
Same with me, when I turn it on all it says is SGH-A707 on a white background. I took it to the cingular store and they don't know what's wrong besides that it's some "internal error". It's a friend's old phone that I put my sim card in and I can't find a solution either.
If you find a solution please email me at [email protected]
I'm having the same problem too! Anyone find an answer? I have no cracks in my LCD... could it be my charger? My phone worked fine until I tried to charge it in the car..
