Wavy line on a DLP SAMSUNG 65 INCH PROJECTION TV

Bulb does not do anything but project white light. Wavy lines are a digital board problem. You should have a tech look at it.

Screen role red and green wavie lines.

Hello dctc1,

Looks like there is a problem with the convergence IC's. You will have to replace both of them. I would also look for busted capacitors around the IC's.

However, if you are not familiar with TV repairs, I would advise against opening up the set. Best get a service man to come and diagnose/repair the set.

Hope that helps!

It has rolling wavy screen with green lines rolling thru constantly - used to be occasionally but now is all the time.

Make sure its not your input source. See if you get the waves through both a DVD player and a Cable box. If you do, your signal board is bad.

Mitsubishi rearTV has intermittent wavy lines running throughout

Do you have anything to test it in 1080i? Does it do it on all connections or just one? I had a similar problem with my TV that turned out to be a bad input board. Mine would only display 1080i through the Component connections. All others would show pink and green wavy lines. It cost me around 500 to fix it. Unplug the TV. Remove the back cover for the TV. Using a NON-metal object, or gloves, wiggle the input board (that has all the video connections on it) slowly back and forth and see if the problem comes and goes. You will have to have someone watching for you. If something is loose on that board, the problem should show itself. Narrowing down the problem will probably save you money on repair bills.

Thick black line rolling up the recorded video of the TV

That is the camera not being in sync with the refresh rate of the TV. With consumer gear, there is really not much you can do about it.

MITSUBISHI 65" WIDESCREEN MODEL WS 65809 (GREEN GONE, SMALL RED LINES)

in the front cover turn up screens on all colors till you see retrace lines, then back them down to where dissappear. enless you know the correct voltage to set it. as for the green. i would try the red crt on the green and see if it looks ok. if so then replace crt circuit or check transistors on crt circuit may also need to change the driver on the heat sync.

Mitsubishi 55" Projection TV / Horizontal Wavy Lines at Start Up

this is very common with these sets. the fix is to replace 11 very very smal capacitor on what is known as the hypermodule. The ideal sitation is to replace the hypermodule. if you can find it. I can do this repair. I have done about 10 at the shop. if you need to i would suggest finding someone who is very experence in surface mounted repair

Yes Rhonda, first you need to do a self test to show what is going on inside set. You can search threads on test or goto ctechnicians.com. This will put you in the ball park of what is going on.
