Get setting to whole wheat bread

What you are describing is normal. Whole wheat settings on most machines heat up first before the kneading begins.

The site below is the only one that I have found with manuals for Toastmaster bread makers. Your specific model is not listed but perhaps you can select a manual for a model that is similar to yours.

Hi,
That is a sealed bearing and can't be lubricated. Eventually that sealed bearing gets worn out and then breaks. The bread pan will then need to be replaced...Sorry Hank
