Files not deleted from m250

Try this solution:

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Deleted songs from sansa e260 still show up on the menu

Turn the player off.

Push the HOLD button to the locked position.

Press and hold the RECORD button while connecting to PC.

Let go of RECORD button when you see Welcome to Recovery Mode on the player's LCD.

You are now connected in, you guessed it, Recovery Mode. Open My Computer and you will find a new removable flash drive labeled, 16MB-FORMAT.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FORMAT THE 16MB-FORMAT VOLUME!!!

Open the 16MB-FORMAT volume in My Computer and create a new folder on the drive in its root directory. Name the folder sansa.fmt, use the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray, and disconnect the player from the PC. The player should now format itself. If all goes well the format will be successful. If not, I suspect you might have a defective internal memory module. If it is defective, you can replace it with one from another v1 or Rhapsody model unit. You can often find defective players on eBay for parts. The memory module from the e250, e260, e270, or e280 will work just so long as its from a v1 or R model.

Not letting me add songs

Very cool

ok so i called 1-866-sandisk and she told me how to fix it. you just flip the key lock at the top so you see orange, then hold down the record button. then you should get some sort of message on the screen. then you plug it in and under my computer a file should show up. you open it and make a folder in it called sansa.fwm (i think thats the right folder name, if not, try sansa.tmp or email me). then you unplug it and it should say formatting or something like that. once its done it should work.

New folder opened automatically - I annot delete those folders...alls songs are gone

Try this;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

I cant find the songs to delete and it the refresh database fails everytime

If you cant see it in MTP mode, the MTP drivers may not be installed on your computer.

Its easier to do this than explain the other solution.

Follow these instructions and you will be back in business.

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.
