I have a Kenmore Elite model # 11063032101. It will run (any cycle) for about 10 minutes then overheats & shuts off. I took the bottom face panel off & took out the vent & cleaned from the inside to the outside. There wasn't much lint in there, but there was alot on everything behind the panel. Cleaned everything & hooked it all back up, ran as before, 10 minutes then got hot & shut off.
what do I need to check next?
If exhaust is blocked or restricted from back of dryer to outside of home it will cause the dryer to over heat the high limit switch. Repeated overheating will weaken the over load switch and it will need to be replaced if normal operation can not resume without restriction. Sea Breeze

Check amperage draw from dryer to supply if above the given amp draw I would think that its possible the thermostat is malfunctioning near the elements. This could become serious and dangerous if not found. The high limit is doing its job!
If fan slows during operation this also will increase heat.
Yes I called it a thermistat. Visit my web page below enter part number in part search feature. We also free help. Thank You Sea Breeze

There was always good airflow outside at the end of the duct. I checked the entire lint ductwork & there was almost no lint. When I took off the front bottom panel there was lint on the underneath wiring, bottom etc. I clean the lint trap everytime I do a load of laundry. Also made sure that there was no fabric softner build up on lint trap. Door gets very warm during the 10 minutes the dryer will run. The dryer doesn't overheat everytime I use it, maybe 7 out of 10 times, but more so lately. This problem has been happening for about 2 months
I replaced the high limit switch & the one next to it. The dryer ran for 10 minutes again & shut off. I also made double sure there are no obstructions in the vent & at the outside end of the vent it is blowing hard. What next???
thanks
Fixed the problem today & now is running as new. I replaced a part called a "thermistor fix" part # 3387134. Thanks to everyone for their help & suggestions.

I'm having the same problem. Except that my Kenmore Elite is model #110.82822102. Is the fix the same for my model of dryer?
