How do I retrieve a deleted message from answering machine?

My husband deleted a message from my godmother who passed away. How do I get it back? How do you retrieve the message from the digital chip? Does anyone know a company who does this? She was the purest, lovable woman in the world and she left a message to me singing Happy Birthday to me and 16 days later she passed on. Please help!

I am so sorry to hear your story, but i'm affraid that there is very likely nothing that can be done for you. In the digital world, once something is marked for deletion, the device is able to use the memory that was held for anything else it likes. So in all reality, if you have ever gotten a message of any form after the time you deleted your treasured message, some or most of the actualy message is likely already overwritten. And once again, in terms of digital, and chips, there is nothing that can really be done to get that information back. I'm So Sorry, and Wish i could offer you a better solution. Cherish Her memory. Knowing the importance of this specific case I would highly recommend calling the factory and having the read the chip (s) and retrieve the data aside from that there's no other way for a consumer to retrieve lost greetings unless you might have had it pre-recorded somewheres just in case he wasnt there and you needed to reset up your answering machine. Hopefully this helps. Sorry for your loss by the way .

Remote message retrieval

When you first installed your GE Digital Messaging System, you heard the code that was auto set for it. Once you are out and away from home, phone home and during the answering machine promp press # and then the promps will ask you for your 'pass word [code]. Please be careful as messages deleted by you, you may not beable to retrieve them. This machine doesn't run by cassette tapes.

How can I retrieve messages I have erased by accident (grandson's messages)?

unplug NOW before someone tapes a messages over the "deleated"one try plugging back to power after machine has had 5min downtime this may 'reset' so you can retrieve if this does not work call manufactor they may know a trick but do not reconnect because if someone tapes over its gone!

The F it is displaying means current memory is full, I would reccomend playing your messages and then recording them onto a portable cassete recorder, or even play it back and record it onto your pc if you have a mic.

Greeting was somehow erased

Hi Sherrie, I am sorry to hear about your husband, I will do what I can to help. I am fairly confident on that model that if you push the greeting button, then delete it will erase the message for good. Also, if the memory power failed, then it would reset to the default greeting and erase all messages and greetings. However, if the unit has options for multiple greetings (ie. default greeting, greeting 1, greeting 2, etc., then perhaps the default greeting may have been selected, while your husbands greeting is still there but is recorded under say greeting number 1. If that is the case, you can select it to play his greeting instead of the default greeting to have it play. I would find out for you but my computer is having trouble opening the manual on the Panasonic site, so here is the link. Look under "greetings" in the index. Hope I helped.
