The symptom appears to be video head clogging. I would first try to use head cleaning tape. (use new one). Run the cleaning tape for about 10 seconds but not more and see if it resolve the problem. It is probably a dirty head. One camera i had i had to clean it much more often that i wanted to and certainly before any important shoot.
Here is a tip though. Always use the same make of tape (and code). If you do change your tape (or code) then clean the heads before you put in the different tape. this is all to do with "dry or wet" lubrication used on different tapes. i do not know enough about that to comment, but the tip comes form a very good source.
Some people run the whole tape through on record (with the lens hood on) before they use it. I do not think it will help for this problem, but you can try.

Typical CCD sensor problem ...replace CCD block. This is normally due to a faulty component being installed so even if your camera is out of warranty try to have it done free of charge.
