2 months old should be covered under guarantee, don't fiddle about and void it, send it back.

Have you checked that the bowl and the lid are clicked into place? Most Food Processors have a safety switch so that you can't turn the blade on with out the lid secured firmly.

I'm having exactly the same problem. The liquidizer works, but not the processor. Mine is just out of the box.

we purchased a FP580 KENWOOD FOOD PROCESSOR. Not received any user guide or receipe cards. Dont know why

Make sure you are using the dough blade for dough instead of the regular blade - dough will cause the regular blade/assembly to gum up. This is actually a VERY high quality unit w/ a 20-year motor warranty. I would see if you get better results with the dough blade. Don't give up on it yet.
