My fujifinepix S9600 is reading card error, what can I do?

My camera has the same problem, which is caused by a bent pin in the contacts of the memory card.
I am looking to find a way to rebend that pin.

I continue to get a message saying the internal memory is full. I have a memory card in the camera. Do I have the mode or something set wrong. It will not add pictures to memeory card.

First, format the internal memory with your memory card out of the camera. Then, go into the setup menu and scroll to "reset" and follow the on-screen instructions. Put your memory card back in the camera. It should work after that.

Internal memory is full

Check the settings for the default storage.
On the camera press "Menu".

In the menu go to the camera settings symbol (camera and wrench).
Go to the "image storage". Is "internal" or "auto" selected?

Is internal selected copy the files to the memory card.
Leave the menu. Press "preview". You'll see only pic's from the internal memory.
Press "Menu" ... "Copy" and choose all.

After that go back to "image storage" and choose "Auto" and -if necessary- delete the files from the internal memory (remove the card before!)

Fujipix S9600 - just a white screen - can't get to any menus.

the s9600 does not use sd carde, it uses xd and cf, you might have damagesd the camera by forcing the wrong type of card in, fujifilm's repair center might be able to fix it, but it might be broken too badly

Memeory card full

Greetings ashley 1980,

This means that in order to take additional pictures, you need to use an external memory card. To clear up your internal memory, you would want to use the supplied usb cable to upload the pictures to your computer. Or you can delete these photos and this will also clear up memory space, but you would be able to retain the images.

Thank you!

Selecting storage media for finepix S9600

http://www.dpreview.com/news/0608/06082412fujis9600.asp. this link says that your camera can run with either the XD or the CF card.

There wil not be any noticable change in performance.
