Link Tiger Woods Limited Edition Number 398

I was away and didn't have watch on. Cam e back 3 days later and watch stoped. I cannot get watch to start again.

My dad had a watch it stopped and he can't get it started again!!

Guest is correct. The power generated from movement only last 42 hours. So if you let it sit for the weekend, wind it like guest said. Basically I'm confirming what was said above.

There is no battery, because it is an automatic watch, and it would be stopped if you havent worn it in three days! Unscrew the crown, and wind it away from you for 10 or so turns and it should start up again. Make sure you don't pull the crown into the first or second position, because it will start the change the date/time instead of winding it.

The Battery might be dead. and if its a problem with the actual watch home repair might not be the best since its a nice watch. i would just take it to a watch repair shop and ask them. hope it was some help

Does t. woods watch require pressure testing w/ battery replcmt?

As long as they don't charge you $40, it should be free. Having said that my machine for testing water resistance cost almost $5000. I have to recoup that somewhere. Now you know why it cost so much. Does it require testing, no. But kon't come crying to me your watch leaked and I was the last to open it. I told you it needed to be tested but you didn't want to spend the $40. That is the view from the other side of the bench.

Take it to a store that sells them, they will be happy to determine if it is a fake. Take the opportunity to see, feel and appreciate what a real one feels like and you will probably be able to tell in future if it is fake or not. Beware, there are some good 'fakes' out there. And remember, Only fake people wear fake watches.

I have a Fossil Limited Ed. Mr. Spock watch with a starship that circles the dial as a second hand. I cannot figure out how to get the back off the watch to change the battery. There are no slots, screws...

It can probably be removed by using a small screwdriver between the back and the body and twisting while applying pressure.

Be careful to avoid stabbing yourself when the screwdriver slips (as it will) - used strong gloves!

A word of warning, one of the cries I see on this site is "how do I get the back on again".

The best option is to take the watch to a jewelers to replace the battery for you - doing it yourself can be more trouble than it is worth, especially if seals are involved.

Try your local watch shop to see f they can do it for you.

If they can't, then locate your nearest TAG service center by going to http://csec.tagheuer.com/customer-service-centres/ and asking them to adivise you where to take it (or send it).

Fake Tags are common! The only surefire way to tell if its real is by the movement! They use Swiss ETA movements. Fakes use Japanese movements! If you are purchasing this watch online...well good luck! If you can take it to a watch repair company then I would suggest that before you buy so they can open the case back and see what kind of movement is in it! A real Tag will cost upwards of $1500 plus and I would think a Limited Edition would be even more!

You should go back to the watch repair shop and ask for complete check-out of your watch. No watchmaker can return the watch to the customer without properly checking all the gearwork, timekeeping, battery power and all the features the watch has.
As your watch was serviced and the battery replacement took place, the executives of all the work done are responsible for all the faults your watch is having right now.
As watch repairs are quite expensive and time consuming, they (probably) will argue with you about this issue, but DO NOT give up, as these are YOUR consumer rights to ask for the job to be properly done (under warranty or paid by you). In case if you will be turned down, ask for FULL refund and find another shop.
If the repair shop is ready to undertake the job again, do not rush them, as the complete watch overhaul and check may take up to 6 weeks (this MUST be done at no any cost to you if you have the warranty or allready paid for the job).
P.S. I suspect that there is some fault in your watch geartrain, because if it is shooked or moved, the watch works, but when idle-it stops. That means the service of your watch was NOT DONE properly, and some failure or even dirt in geartrain was missed by the watchmaker (sometimes it happens- nobody is perfect!). This doesn't mean you have to agree with it, so, go and get your watch properly serviced and checked out.
