There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.

You will need to replace the dispenser control board on the door. Here is the part to order.

disconnect and wait for full melt down. then reconnect

You have a bad main control board . Located behind the refrig , behind an 8 X 10 " panel . Easily replaceable . Sorry , not Seabreeze . You can reach him at seabreeze appliance parts . com , I think .

Some of these ge frig have a problem with water freezing inside the door and so the water dispenser wont work. only way to be sure it to turn off your frig for about a week and leave the doors open. plug in then try the water dispenser. if this is the problem call g.e. you will need a special kit to solve this problem. it dispenser still doesn't work replace water valve!!!

I have had a few where the water switch housing that holds the switch breaks and does not allow the arm to hit the switch to turn water on. that is one thing it could be ethier way not to big of an expence to get fixed

the module on the icemaker may be bad or the emitter-recever

I was having the same problem.  I was told that the water line in the door is frozen.  I was told to open up the door and take everything off door and put towels in front and around the ice maker and the rest of the freezer to keep the cold in and  leave my door open and tape the light switch so it would turn off.  Then keep the door open, for 1-2 hours, I checked it in 1 and it still did not work so I continued for another and it now works just fine.  My ice maker was working but the water was not coming out of the dispenser.

We had the same problem. When we removed the ice receptical the mechanism that turned the ice make was broken and it stopped the ice from being dispensed. I hope it is that simple for you!
