window 98 driver will work with windows xp. install the driver file right click and click install. using the setup file. or go to the windows devices. double click on the scanner in menu go to up date driver. in next box use the install driver from local file and make the file to the drivers you have it will install the files it needs. may say are you sure you want to install the driver as it has no certificate click yes., driver installed now.
However, you could try downloading MUSTEK Scanexpress 1200 UB Scanner drivers for Windows Xpand try running them in compatibility mode. click here how to run them in compatibility mode
y all this does not work you must have to contact manufacture for better support.

Download the driver to your desktop and then install it. Keep in mind if your trying to run your scanner on some other operating system thats not on that page, then it won't work
Run a Google search for your scanner and see if an XP driver is available. Since the original driver was for Win98, I doubt the scanner will work with XP. Just too old.
The Packard Bell Diamond 1200 Plus is in fact manufactured by Mustek and is the Mustek Bearpaw 1200 CU Plus. Packard Bell no longer support or list this device on the website but drivers can be found at Mustek's European site http://www.mustek.de/11/index.php/en/ser... They provide drivers for Windows so make sure you download the corret one for your version
Very simple: download from Mustek site ONLY VPDriver.exe. Then open it and store files in a directory. Open Hardware directory on System properties, locates the unistalled item related to USB scanner, select reinstall drivers and point to the directory previous. Vista locate drivers, intall them and our scanner runs correctly with all programs (ex. OpenOffice Draw, etc). Try it ...
