No water Ice dispenser works fine. Water dispenser switch / lever works (clicks and activates light) but no water. If I unhook the door connection at bottom hinge and activate the switch / lever I get water from the supply hose. Is the dispenser frozen up?

I have the same problem. I don't know if we have unhooked the water supply at the bottom and gotten water, but we have changed the filter. And still no water.

same exact problem - I have water at the bottom of the door "disconnect connection". the ice maker is working OK. But no water getting to the door down spout whatever is wrong is in the door piping. electrical stuff seems to be working fine. is there a valve at the door downspout??? could it be frozen a frozen line??? should i be able to run a small snake thru the plastic line all the way to the downspout???because i cannot get passed the downspout!!

MORE LIKELY TO BE BLOCKED OR A KINKED PIPE AT BASE OF DOOR, WHEN YOU ACTIVATE THE VALVE THE WATER FLOWS STRAIGHTOUT OF THE DISPENSOR SO THE MUST BE A PROBLEM IN THE DOOR AREA. REGARDS DVISOR

The outside door water does not work

Can I assume the ice and water are activated by two different switches? The ice switch activates the motor that dispenses ice. The water switch activates a solenoid that opens to dispense water. If you can, find the solenoid and make sure it's not stuck closed (tapping it with a screwdriver handles usually help persuade it a bit). I would tap the solenoid while pushing the water button. Listen for the solenoid to activate. If you can't activate the solenoid, find the switch and depress it with a small screwdriver. Usually, these switches are just simple little microswitches that need a little cleaning and coaxing

Water dispenser will not work Just tried to get water from the dispenser.I heard a clicking when I pushed the lever in with a glass, but no water.I loosened the water line at the compression fitting at...

The ice works off of a different solenoid than the water dispensor . So , I would suggest this action : At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig .

Ice and water dispenser stopped working

Welcome to the computer world. When depressed, the paddle actuates a switch attached to the bracket above. The switch sends a low voltage signal to a small circuit board mouted right behind the display. A computer chip on that small board communicates with another chip on the main control board mounted in the rear wall. Your situation could be a bad actuator switch, a broken paddle tab, possibly a bad door switch (the fresh food doors must be closed to dispense), or a bad electronic control.

Connected water supply and confirmed good water pressure. cannot get water to dispense or icemaker to make ice.

Hi, When you push the water switch in the door, do you the inlet valve humming? Is it possible that the wires came off the inlet valve?
If you remove the inlet valve from the cabinet and unhook the large size tubing that leads to the water dispenser, you can engage the dispenser lever in the door and see if water comes out.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist yyou further.

Ice and water stopped dispensing

some models of this refrig have a lcok out feature on the dispenser look for a padlock symbol on the dispenser console and make sure its unlocked. if it s not locked out you may have a broken switch bracket behind the console cover. when you press the levers listen very closely and you should hear a click noise letting you know the dispenser switch has activated. Let me know if you have any further questions thanks Peyton

In door water and ice cube not working

Water dispenser is a simple touch switch in door energizing a solenoid water valve behind ventilation grate above refrigerator. Water tube runs down into and ends at ice dispenser chute. Should hear solenoid click at top of fridge when activate water touch switch. Can unhook discharge side of solenoid valve temporarily to prove water output. If water dispenser tube acts blocked it could be frozen where it ends-look up the hole at the bottom of refrigerator control buttons.
Ice maker is totally different system. No clicking when push ice button but ice in bulk tray may mean the simplest of malfunctions: Ice bin not pushed in the last half inch if ice auger not lined up with drive pegs. There are hidden switches behind ice bin that need to be engaged or nothing will happen in the ice maker: no auger noise, no clicking, no new ice making. Ice bin will be flush with sheet metal if it is in the right spot. Also plastic juice rack won't hang properly if ice bin not pushed in all the way.

Icemaker works fine, only dispenses water

make sure that the ice shoot is not clogged up with ice or the in the ice basket where the ice goes through. Sometimes the ice can be stuck together and jam and nothing will come out.

GS6SHEXMLoo side by side ice dispenser not working

On advice from the tech I removed acess door. It was covered by frozen moisture.
I removed the motor it was full of water. I verified 120 volts at plug to motor from control
by depressing the door switch and ice dispenser lever at same time. The motor ohms out
but because of amount of water removed from it I am going to replace it and see what happens.

No water at the door

If the solenoid valve doesn't click anymore then it's either bad or not activating anymore. Check that the switch behind the water lever is not broken or has fallen loose inside the door panel. You may be able to put a finger up there and try to push it without using just the lever. (sometimes slamming glasses into that lever over time breaks the switch attaching pins causing the switch to fall off inside). Take the front panel off and visually check that switch itself to see if it is still being held in place. Activate it by hand (not the lever method) and see if that water solenoid valve clicks again and water flows. If you have no water to both the Ice Maker and door dispensor at all (clogged filter?) check the main water line for clogs/debris, etc. If you are making ice still then water is at least getting to the ice maker and that means only the door water valve or switch is bad. The link below may help you "see" inside with the different diagrams, etc. http://www.partselect.com/MultiModels.aspx?ModelNum=GSL25JFP&searchTerm=&RefineSearch=0
