am using an Epson LX-300+II dot matrix printer in Windows XP. I am trying to print checks that are tractor feed 8.0" x 3.66". I added the cusotm paper size in the print server and it is saved correctly, however, when I try to print, the print properties dialog does not show the paper size. In fact, there are many paper sizes in the print manager that do not show up in the list of available paper sizes.
1. Dot matrix as the name suggests prints in small dots. The print out u get in railway tickets.
2. Laser printers are very speedy and have clear and sharp printing. There is no comparison b/w a laser printer and dot matrix. If dot matrix is 1st GEnaration than laser is atleast 10 generations ahead
It probably is a margin setting. Can you try printing on a blank w-2 and preview it before printing. That way you should be able to adjust the margin as needed.
The problem your having is a spacer motor. It's located under the carriage that holds the ribbon/printhead. The part number is 56513701. Available at Seattle Platen - Dale 1800-221-2388.
