Dark spot in middle

I just got my projector out of storage, changed bulb. After 3 hours of viewing, image appears with dark spot in middle of screen. Thought it was bulb but put in different bulb same problem. Its as if there is a finger blocking the lens in middle third, or something. Its the same on all projections. Any suggestions? Thanks k

SOURCE: Sharp XR10X Screen size

depending on the age of your computer, some of the older video cards in XP only will allow you to show video in 600x800 resolution. When you want to show video go ahead and change both of your display properties (both the primary and the secondary) to 600x800. See if that works.

If that is not what you are refering to go right click on your desktop and look for the properties or settings of your graphics card. it may say graphics properties . In that area there will be tons of options like (when showing video only show it on the secondary monitor) play around with the different settings on your graphics card.

SOURCE: sharp notevision xgnv6xu oval yellow spot

I have a similar issue with yellow pattern on the left and top right of my screen. Took it apart and found the blue lcd had damage that matched the yellow area that was projected. I thought it was the lens but it was the blue lcd .It has gone bad and no replacement. Are you interested in selling the bulb or the whole projector? I have since purchased another projector and am keeping the bad one for spare parts. Hope this helps..Ben

SOURCE: Large dot in the middle of the projected display

there is a burned-in spot on the polerizer light filter for the blue lcd. it makes sure the light is blue coming through, that's why it is black on a blue screen, and yellow when the red and green are the only light showing through. it needs to be replaced. pat # PFiLW0213CEZZ.

I just replaced the bulb in my projector and now a dark spot appears in the middle of my screen. Can anyone tell me how to fix the problem?

I believe that projector bulbs are specific to the application, a standard bulb will not substitute. If you are certain that this is the correct application please supply the make and model of your projector and the bulb you obtained and you should get a useful response when you submit thatadditional information

Dark spot

These bulbs are very sensitive to contamination. When installing a bulb, do not touch it with your fingers, as this will leave your natural oils on it and that will become a hot spot and burn out the lamp.
Use a clean piece of toilet tissue when installing the new lamp to eliminate the above.
Good luck!

Vivtek d510 projector has black and white spots covering 1/3 of projected image

The DLP Chip is failing .The DLP or Digital Light Projection Chip contains up to 8 million tiny microscopic mirrors that tilt to project a digital image onto the screen. These mirrors are failing causing light and dark spots to appear.Unfortunately fixing this projector is probably going to cost more than buying a new one. Hope this helps.

Infocus IN24 Projector has large Dark Grey/Black Spot in the middle of the image.Lamp has 600 hours,Installed my spare "NEW" Lamp, still the same,Bulb makes no difference. Was watching a movie...

There is a lens(looks like a small magnifying glass) made out of plastic that the light shines through to focus the light on the mirror before it hits the DLP chip, that lens is Melted in the center. I unfortunately had the same thing happen to me, and I am unable to find a replacement part.

LCD projector spots showing up on the screen

there are light filters behind each lcd panel that determine the color of light going through it. because of excessive heat and dust, the filter tends to burn and cause discoloration in the image. if the image is bluish (cyan), the red filter is burning. if it's yellow, the blue is burning. if it's purplish (magenta), the green is burning. the filters will need to be replaced. unfortunately, many companies don't sell individual parts of the optical engine, so the entire engine might need to be replaced.
