Sound device hai , i have installed windows xp .. and now when i want to play a song in media player or any other player it pops up a message that u don't have a sound device available , i have checked whether my sound ouput speakers have any problem by also installing linux .. then it is giving sound in linux's media players , also i have installed sound/audio devices available in internet but it is not showing that sound device is available even after installing sound device completely what should i do ?? please help me

    Hi,
    I have two O.S. a windows 98 and XP with both sounds working ok. until I re-format my XP. This time, my sound device works fine on w.98 but when I open my XP it won't work. Can any one advice me what to do ?

Download the audio driver from www.driverskit.com or install it from the cd provided when you bought the device. This is because windows might have not recognised ur device as they have not packed your driver with the windows.

The reason for the message will be the fact that windows doesnt recognise that there is a sound device available because the driver for your sound card or onboard sound is not built into XP and therefore you will have to find out what make of audio you have and install the relevant driver.

Coby mpmp3 player won't play all my songs

This unit only accept MP3 or Unprotected WMA files. The audio file your trying to play is probably protected, make sure what your adding is MP3 is the safest way to go, as those cannot be copyrighted.

try to uninstall the software and then the soud card of your computer.. then attach it again and install the software.

I can not play audio files

In the windows media player go to > now playing - more options - devices - speakers then changed the audio device to use your soundcard.

Also, uninstall any other players, they usually interfere with each other.
