Broken / Cracked display

I dropped my Rhino 120 and cracked the display, the unit functions fine but I cannot see through the crack very well, kinda like looking through a cracked windshield. Can I order a replacement display cover? From where? Thanks

Is it just the plastic cover over the display? I think that would be a little easier to find an replace than the whole display would. Garmin does stock alot of parts for their units. Unfortunatly, alot of the small electronics thats built today is disposable. The components are all small surface mount stuff packed in on very small double sided pc boards....this is very hard, timely and expensive to track a problem. For that reason alot of manufacturers do not supply parts for certain models. This MIGHT make the actual display harder to find..... but in your case its just the display cover.... the odds are good you will find one. Check at the Garmin website...they will have lists of certified repair shops with access to parts.

Kids dropped tablet. dead. Opened back and found display connector cable/film had cracked. Is there a fix for this? Is the connector integral to the display or an easily replaced cable?

take it to a repair shop but the problem really is when it is dropped , look for a new one as repairs will cost close to a replacement unit

tha't an easy task to handle
See the pictures below
if your whole screen shows an image and the cracks are in front of it then its just a cracked digitiser
if you dont see the whole image and tyou see horizontal and vertical line or an image like spilled liquid then your Lcd is also cracked too

this is a broken Lcd (the screen is distorted by the lines or no picture at all)

this is just a broken digitiser (the screen below the broken glass works fine )

Broken Language Master Screen

Hello

cracked screens can not be repaired, the screen needs to be replaced to a new one.

check ebay.com for parts.

May be hard to find. You may have to buy a new one. or a broken one that has a working display.

Hi there....i accidentally stepped on my laptop and the screen looks liks its cracked....the actual screen isnt cracked it just looks like it...kinda looks like you can see the inside of it...HELP!!!!

Yup, its cracked. The actual LCD (liquid cristal display) is inside the protective plastic casing and that is supposed to help keep it from being damaged. It has to be replaced..

Replacement screen for my garmin rhino 120

Hello joewilly31,

It looks like Garmin offers complete factory overhaul for out of warranty Rhino120 units for $99. For complete details on how to get an RMA number and ship the unit to Garmin for repair go to their website at:

While it may also be possible to purchase parts from Garmin directly, I would recommend against attempting to repair the unit yourself unless you a lot of experience working with and repairing surface mount electronics devices.

Cracked Screen

my son dropped his and cracked the screen 2 days ago.Called TI no replacement parts.Spoke to the head of the math dept.at school he also said they have called for repair and no luck. Solution is we have to write a check to the school for $120 since they supply the calculator

The Stress of impact on the imaging forming unit that is directly behind the projection lens has a flat glass surface. If it is cracked the stress cracks would project with any image because they are on the same plane as the image
