I have a WS-55315 that is about four years old. After a storm a few weeks ago, only RED works. When I take off the back, I can see that there is not even a dim glow on either the green or blue bulbs.

Check the componet cables if you are using them for video from the cable box, the red may of came loose. Also you could have intermittent connection the video processor IC or as we techs call it the jungle IC. It is responsible for producing all the small singals used by the set.Tapping with the handle of a screwdriver on the signal board may lead you
Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.
I've had the same problem 1 week ago. Bought new wirewound ceramic resistors (5w 6.8 ohms) and replaced the old ones.... It helped to majority of people who had the same problem, but mine has now some other issues with appearing diffrent colors on the screen which are not supposed to be there :) Like all goes blask with few red pixels or green :-) Having fun now and can;t find service manuals for this TV :(
You could have a bad transistor for the red gun on the neck board or
possibly a cracked solder joint on the transistor. The red gun may need
to be 'cleaned' by a rejuvination process. The guns can get a buildup
on them after time that needs to be burned off to bring it back to
life. In some cases, if the coating on the gun is very thin it can be
burned completely off during a rejuv. process leaving it totally
unusable. It is possible to use a charged capacitor to 'zap' the guns
to attempt a rejuv., but it may need more than what a capacitor can
I would check the green signal all the wat to the display screen to determine is this is a signal problem or a system short. I would recommend that you take this set to a qualified electronics technician
It seems that you donot have the 200+ V line for the GREEN,BLUE. This line is the same as the read line, check connectors located on crt boards make sure they did not come apart. Also you can:This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-2. Check for open fuses F9A04 and F9A05 part # 283P144080 on the +24 and -24 volt lines. If the fuses are open the convergence output circuit would be suspect. 2. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-1. At power on check for 12-volts DC at connector KH pin 8, if missing check IC9C51 part # 270P990010 and L9C52 part # 441D009020 on the Signal PCB
1. White raster with no signal, washed out looking video with signal. Access the service menu, "menu 0357" use the audio button to select "video chroma" adjustments, use the video button to select item "40 - AGIW", use the adjust button to change the setting to 0, then press the enter button to store the change.
