I have a whirlpool duet. I had washed 8 towels 2 days ago and and heared a very loud metally sound during the spin cycle. I did not notice that it was on high spin when I started. I stopped the machine and noticed water leaking from the bottom. The throw soaked the water. I tried washing again today and a lot of water was leaking - it's draining into the floor. The drain pipe is dry. How do I go about checking for connections inside the machine. Connections from the machine to the drain is intact. Help... Mari
To get inside the machine for a look, you have to take the back panel off,
1. Pull the plug
2. Turn off and then Disconnect the HOT and COLD water hoses at the machine
3. Remove bottom, side and all but 2 top corner screws from the back panel (all around the outer edges only) then supporting the panel, remove one corner screw, let the panel down on that side, then remove the other.
4.Remove panel
5. Grab a light, look inside.
My guess is that the spinning, wobbling drum worre a hose thru.
Good Luck!
Hint: Put all the back panel screws in loose, all the way around... then tighten them
Attach to top and Sides, and use something soft and flexible, but not HARD that you can use like a shoehorn - a kitchen silicone spatula maybe? Put some light oil on it, stick it between the drum and bleeows, and while someone holds the two sides(and top) on, slide it slowly all the way around to 'pop' it back on.

cleverer 2, thanks for your response. the hose looks like it still new and the threads are still intact. i found a small piece of plastic that broke off from somewhere inside - it looks like it's a cradle for a hose. i just noticed that the bellows is not at all connected to the drum - the answer to my water leak. how do i connect it back. pls forward me instructions to fix it to [email protected]. i'd like to fix it myself. thank you.
