Take the back bezel off. It should have many screws around it. then once open you should see the back of the mirror. Carefully take the screws out of the mirror, you may have to do some modifing with the new mirror if it does not come prefabed.

First of all you need to check with the nearest service dealership for the availability of the mirror and the cost of the unit. Normally the cost from such dealerships will include to an extend the replacement cost and so it will be wise to have it done in the first case than to set it up and watch a distorted image if the aligment is not proper as the fall could also have shifted the alignment.
Your best bet is to call a local glass and mirror shop and have them cut you a new mirror for your tv. You will need to provide them the dimensions. It probably won't cost that much. If you were happy with the picture before the mirror broke, than putting around $50 or less into it seems like it would be worth it.
THe part n umber will be dependent upon the exact model number of your set. Can you please post that model number. This entry is listed under model number PT-47WX49. Pleaes confirm the model so we can get the proper part number.
There is only one part behind that screen to break - a rather large mirror.
To verify:
Lay the TV down, face down, on a towel. Remove the screw from the upper rar black plastic housing. Lift straight off - you should see the mirror, or what is left of it, attached to the black plastic.
Sorry for your loss.
