This after a year or so of the dishwasher wash cycle getting louder and louder. Now silent, and dishes dirty after cycle completes. I've had the dishwasher out and torn apart from the bottom before so I think I can do this with a little instruction.

the problem is hard water i bet. there is a new product out that actually filters the water going into your dishwasher. this i think is awesome becasue who knows whats in the water cleaning the dishes you eat and drink with. my dishes use to be white and spotty and after the first load with the filter they came out spotless. you can get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com. you will be glad you did. oh it goes under the sink and is small and affordable.

I had the same problem. On the bottom of the unit is a tray the catches any water that leaks from the tub. In the tray is a sensor that shuts off the unit and water if it get wet. Take the tray off and see if water is in it. If so, you have a leak somewhere. You might be able to dry off the sensor and get it to work but if you have a leak, you want to know. Best way to check is put the dishwasher up on two milk crates, leave the tray off and turn it on the rinse cycle and see if any water drips.
On my first unit, the rubber seal was installed wrong at the factory. They replaced the seal, but the error came up again. When checked out, the tub was leaking too. The dishwasher was replaced with another one. After one wash, the same problem occurred. LE error. I took it back and got a different Samsung model. It just stopped working after only two weeks. Evidently the touch pad sensors are bad because it will not turn on. Needless to say I'm getting tired of installing dishwashers. I think I will go for a different brand.

Our unit started displaying code 9E after filling, draining and filling again. At the beginning it was enough just to restart it. Finally this trick didn't work anymore. Before calling service for out of warranty I decided to take the unit out of the cabinet and start it. Of course this didn't fixed the problem. Then i noticed where the water comes in and I took off the panel on the left side bottom.
Under the panel there is a white box that has a floater inside. The floater is pushing a lever that actuates a micro switch. I noticed that the lever wasn't moving as the machine started to fill in with water. The lever was stuck. An easy touch on the lever fixed the problem and the machine started working.
I will put back the washer for now but if it happens again in the next future i'll have to find a more permanent fix.

Hello
Your dishwasher has been designed to use a liquid rinse aid. Pouring a liquid rinse aid into the proper recepticle in your dishwasher when you add dish detergent greatly improves drying performance. You can further improve drying performance by selecting the Sanitize option, in addition to the other options you've selected, and increasing the water temperature. For Best Results, use Jet-Dry Turbo
Spots and film form in your dishwasher's rinse cycle, when detergents are already down the drain. FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent works in the rinse cycle, lowering the surface tension of water and causing it to sheet. Better rinsing results in less spots and film.
If these recommendations do not improve drying time, please contact Samsung Customer Care
