sorry I'm a female but I did try to format from my desktop and it let me format it but only to FAT32 it wouldn't give me option to change the to format FAT but I looked it and it won't let me because it's more than a 2G you have to use FAT 32 for 8G so I don't know if that means the phone won't support that much memory or if I need to try a different brand of SD card I am pretty sure I need to try Lexar that's what I read those work if anyone knows different hey I am open to suggestion

Dear sir,
if you have laptop and if it has sd card slot then put the card in the slot
go to my computer
right click on removeable drive
and selet format
selet the "FAT" option on top of the window
click ok
now your card is formatted and you can use it
...
if you don't have sd card slot then you have to buy or borrow from friend card reader and do it from there.

hope it will solve your problem sir

What type sandisk mirco sd cards work?

You didn't buy a microSD card, you bought a microSDXC card.

The Eclipse 180 works with microSD cards (2GB or smaller) and microSDHC cards (32GB or smaller). It does not work with microSDXC cards.

Hello my memory card does not work. In setting/system/memory shows card is not instaled itsn Sandisk 1gb micro SD please help

You might have formated it in the wrong format! try a car reader and if it works on PC! format it with FAT-16 format and it should work! I'm using a 2 GB card with a FAT-16 file system.

Micro SD card is write protected, but can't seem to reformat it

you might try formatting it with a windows pc. Sometimes devices have problems with cards formatted by Mac. Even when it is formatted to a FAT file system. On a side note I don't believe that Macs will format to Fat 16 anymore. (Macs use a different file system that windows altogether). You may also check the card to make sure that there isn't a manual read only switch. (It would show a picture of a small lock next to a tiny switch on the card)

Micro SD problem loading music

Just a guess, but I'm thinking the problem may lie in the format of the media. Try to format in FAT32. Also make sure that the full card is used ( don't do only 500mb or such ) FAT file system used to only allow a certain amount of space for
(F)ile (A)llocation (T)ables, and I think only a certain length of file names ( I'm thinking 8 character ), while FAT32 allows for 32 character file names, and allows for more FAT table information. I wouldn't ty NTFS if it does allow, as some portable devices do not read them, but fat and fat32 should be universal...
