Pinkish /whitish ring

Took a trip to Victoria on my first day after 21 photos a pinkish /whitish ring appears on the photos when I view them. The video seems OK.It also seems that the more I point it towards bright light the brighter this ring appears.I am sending my camera to fuji in Mississaga on Monday 27 of August and see what they say.

Foggy lens! It needs cleaning or buffing.. you have to open the unit to be able to clean it, thats the setback of fixed lens cameras!

My picture is pinkish and glossy

If the overall picture has a pinkish hue to it and skin colors appear to have pinkish blotches. White scenes have a pinkish hue to them then it is is likely the main display board, 6871QCH029A. This board is located next to the Y sustain board. Need to remove the tv from the stand to get to the main display board. I just fixed my Z50PX2D that had the pinkish hue to it by replacing the main logic board. Check ebay for boards.

Pink Monitor

Hello,

Are the monitor and computer both new or are they used? If the monitor is used then I would bet the problem is the backlight tubes. The backlights in LCD monitors are fluorescent lamps just like in your house or office. When the bulbs get old and about to burn out the output light changes from white to a pinkish color. At this point if your monitor is several years old and you have a pinkish display you need to start looking for a deal on a new unit. It is possible to replace the tubes but it is very hard to do because they are so small and fragile.

I hope this helps.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
