the green light keeps blinking, have tried the heated/dry and normal button sequence to reset the dishwasher, but nothing has worked so far, there is water supply in and power, just a blinking light and a dishwasher that won;t start

HI, Same thing happened to me today and Sears more than willing to charge me 200.00 for a 1 year service agreement. I found the answer on askmehelpdesk.com and the answer is: To reset a Kenmore Ultra Wash elite series dishwasher (stuck on clean) simply push heated/dry then normal wash and do the same thing again. Panel will reset itself and it hopefully will run normally again. Mine did and I am rejoicing! Julie

YEA!!!! This post saved me lots of money and frustration. I did exactly as stated and it worked. Thanks to taking time to post your solution. Funny that Sears doesn't supply that solution in their user manual.

That really does work. That was so awesome. Now I have a happy wife!!

This really works. The trick is to hit the heat /dry and normal wash in sequence Then, do it again without waiting for a light change.

Hi

If clean light is blinking then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump, please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset. If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Clean green light blinks. It will not start a

This may or may not help in your situation, but the following link explains how you can clear the blinking clean light problem:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r417123-blinking_clean_light_kenmore_whirlpool

Now...keep in mind all dish washers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up as I have referenced, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.

Sometimes this can be a momentary glitch in operation. However, if the problem keeps reoccuring the number of flashes is an indication of which circuit is causing your problem. Again, refer to your tech sheet to determine this.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this fixes your problem.

"Clean light" keeps blinking; dishwasher won't start new cycle

Check to see how it's loaded. If something is obstructing either of the spray arms it will not start. I had this same problem and checked to see if there was something impeding the arms - I found there was. Reloaded the unit and it's running like a champ now!

Clean light keeps blinking and I can't start a new cycle

Puppa, clear the fault by pressing the keys in this order: high temp scrb--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry. Or, depending on your model..Sani rinse--air dry--sani rinse--air dry. The dishwasher will enter the service mode. Let it do it's thing or advance it through it by pressing the start key. The fault came from the board not sensing a rise in the water temp. Make sure to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. The heating element runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so make sure the d/w is level and the door switches are all making. The element itself could be at fault. Catriver...post back
