My unit worked fine for 4 DVDs then quit reading the DVDs, Displays a rotating disc in the upper right corner of the TV. Will not play any new discs or the ones it previously played. Also gave message of ( no disc loaded ) ???

I have coby dvd 283 player , its new but i don't know why it is nt playing ..........when i start the power button and insert disk , then on my tv on right hand upper side of the tv only a picture of the disk rotating round is seen .................pls help me out what shall i do

Please double check your drive. GOTO My computer and there you will see disk partitions and optical drive type.. I mean your DVD drive does it says DVD or CDROM? Now if thats DVD then you need to check software you are using.. Its better if you can download VLC
Player thats the best software I have tried.. and no region issue.
DVD players can be picky with the type of file format that they use. According to an amazon.com review of this player, it does read DVD+RW/+Rs & DVD-RW/Rs so the problem probably resides in your file format.
The problem is probably the fact that the DVD Player does not recognize the file format of your Mac slide show. The computer recognizes this format, as it plays the slide show. The DVD player recognizes JPG file formats, which is the standard format of a picture.
If a DVD is made with JPG Files, not your slide show files, it will display thumbnails of each picture, allowing the choice of what picture to view.
If the slide show is a must, try to save it to a video file format, such as a *.mpg or *.avi which are common video file formats. These files would be movies of the slide show that you have made.
most sony CD and DVD players have a digital signature design to play CDs and DVDs that are original and licensed. some CDs or DVDs dont work since the player does not recognize or scan any digital signature embedded in the CD or a DVD. 2nd, lens problem causes most players not to read CDs nor DVDs. you can try to buy CD or DVD lens cleaners to have your lens cleaned.
