Question about JVC GR-AX970 Camcorder

1 Answer

My JVC GR-AX970 won't turn on at all. We thought it might have been the battery so we bought a new one. We put that in, plugged it in, but nothing happened. What can we do?

Have radio shack check your battery - for voltage to preferably 7 . 0 volts ? if so , then your camcorder ' s protect circuits aren ' t letting the camera power up ( to prevent even more damage ) ;

    buy a new battery and charger - if the battery

    you just bought does not read around 7 volts ?

    - -

    if it does read 7 volts , there are microfuses

    that may be open ( not user serviceable ) ;

    you would need jeweler ' s screwdrivers - and

    a voltohmeter to first open the camera then

    find the microfuses ( or , get an estimate ) ;

The camcorder won't come on.

Can you plug the camcorder into the wall via the provided dc cable and your ac adaptor? If so your battery terminal cound have gotten bent, or a fuse link could have opened up inside. check above test first.

Unable to see any picture on my JVC GR-D22U Camcorder. Please help*

I bought 3 Sony camcorders at different times, I have used not more than 20 times, and my brother bought another kind of camcorder did the same, but after 3-4 years, automatically quit one by one, even my brother’s camcorder quit within 4 years, this is what I think, the big companies like Sony, Jvc etc., won’t let you use the same unit for a long time, from our case, made us thought, they probably put a timer to control the age of the camcorders. Maybe we have to know how to adjust or change the timer chap.

I am still research about this case. And also I have a lot of documents can not transfer.

Condensation error

I found instructions with pictures on fixing this problem online at
http://www.freewebs.com/ltooz/03jvcgrd70u.htm
The process involves taking the camera apart.
Other forums I have looked at have mentioned waiting the error out or allowing the camera to air out.

How long have you had your camcorder?

This is my history about using camcorder,

I bought 3 Sony camcorders at different times, I have used not more than 20 times for each, and my brother bought another kind of camcorder did the same, but after 3-4 years, automatically quit one by one, even my brother’s camcorder quit within 4 years too, this is what I think, the big companies like Sony, Jvc etc., won’t let you use the same unit for a long time, from our case, made us thought, they probably put a timer to control the age of the camcorders. Maybe we have to know how to adjust or change the timer chap, this called a quality control.

I am still research about this case. And also I have a lot of documents can not transfer.
