If you have Windows XP / SP2 and Windows Media Player 10 or higher. It should be recognized. If you have these, try changing the mode to MSC. Best of Luck.

SOURCE: my computer does not detect my mp3 player sansa 4.0 gb
either unplugg it and try again or try a diff usb port

MY MP3 WILL NOT MOVE FROM THE SANDISK BLACK SCREEN WHEN YOU POWER UP. IT CONNECTS TO THE COMPUTER AND CHARGES BUT NOTHING ELSE.

I plug in my mp3 in the usb and hear no sound and cant not find it anywhere. but when i use my laptop it works good.
