Do you have your tv set to the correct AV channel   (for a scart connection) look at the Scart port on the TV (it should be numbered usually AV1..AV2..etc..)

Then you just need to switch to the appropriate AV channel on your TV

hope this helps.....

also check in your TV manual if the av socket you are connected to is an input or an output.

Im trying to connect my coby dvd player to my samsui tv

Hi Maria,
You can hear the sound means your TV and the DVD player are working well. May be the video connecting cord ( yellow connector) between the TV and DVD player has gone bad. Please try replacing it. For testing, you can interchange it with any of the two sound connecting cords which have white and red connectors. I hope it helps.

Wireing mess I need to know what the park wire is for

if its a dvd playing cd player it is so you cant watch dvd's while driving. Can be bypassed by just connecting it to the black ground wire. Or to the earth connetion on the back of the radio. Which is usually a screw that srews into a 5mm hole.

Help with samsung dvd dx 103

Hi and welcome to FixYa.

Your camcorder records videos in MPEG2 format. You need that codec installed in your pc to play the videos. You can find that here.

Dvd wont work.

First, is the DVD player output (Video out, audio out) connected to the TV input? Have you used the Yellow cable from  DVD video out to the TV video in? Mixing the audio and video cables will result in no signal. Have you selected the proper input with your TV remote control. Most plasmas accept a variety of input signals; you must select the right one. I deal with a number of these issues. Usually the connections are made improperly or the correct input source is not selected with the TV remote. Put a DVD in the player and press play. Be sure you have made the proper connection from DVD player video/audio out into an auxiliary or video input on the TV. These could be labeled Line 1 or Line 2.  With the DVD playing, run through the input options on your remote control. The button might be marked source, video or input. The screen should display your choices i.e. video 1, video 2, etc. When you see your DVD program, you've got the right combination.

Dvd function not working

PS is progressive scan, unless you have the player hooked up to a HDTV on its component inputs it wont play video, you need to locate button either on the front of the unit or on the remote for the Progressive Scan, this might be a good thing to look up in the manual as I dont know much about this unit.
