Dryer shuts down within 5 mins of running

The motor is overheating and will need to be replaced. Here is the motor to order.

The first thing to do is clean both the inlet and outlet filters.

Replace the thermocoupler?

This a classic occurance due to low fuel in the tank.

There is a sensor in the tube that is a safety feture. it is a snap disc it maybe faulty, it is reading that the tube is to hot and shutting down, it cools and works again, check snap disc and also they need pleanty of fresh air.

You'll need to determine whether your lacking spark or fuel when no start happens, do you know how to do that?

dryer was working with codes for 5 to 10 min now there is no heat at all but will stay running?

Sounds like a faulty operating thermostat. Only way is to test on a electric griddle that you can set the temperature to 150 deg and measure with a ohm meter.

If it's gas, the coil valves get weak and are unable to hold themselves open when hot. First, check the exhaust vent. If it's clogged, it can't remove heat and it will shut off prematurely. Most likely the coil valves though.

if the motor buzzes when you push start then it is a bad motor.as long as the drum turns freely by hand.
