Eton E5 On the Eton E5 there is a distortion on ssb signals. Won't tune in finely, so all conversations are sounding like robots. Cannot make out any words. A worbling sound. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Probably wiped out the power supply ckt components....it is Totally inoperative.....It wasn't used but a few times. My laptop transformer is similar in appearance to my eton xformer...hopefully I might be able to localize the damage if I can find a schematic? ..and possibly salvage it. power supply was 12VDC Neg ground instead of 5VDC Pos ground.Probably wiped out the power supply ckt components....it is Totally inoperative.....It wasn't used but a few times. This may be caused by a problem with some AC adapters supplied with these radios. (It is a known problem with the Grundig G5, which is supposed to be an identical radio.) I have read that you can request a replacement adapter from Eton.
