Does not recognize my sd card. It has audio interviews on it, not photos, although another card had both. Neither was recognized.

You didn't say which model of camera it is but can you connect the camera by USB and read the files that way?

SOURCE: 2GB SD card no recognized
Thanks.
I have only one card reader. Will see if I can find a way to connect my GPS with the SD card in it to the PC.
Otherwise I guess I need to .. buy a new card.
What do you mean by formatting the SD card. I copy a file on it from Windows explorer (copy/paste) without doing anything to the card? If I buy a new card, should I format it first? How?
Since the system does not recognize the card I cannot do anything to it.
Thanks!

Try going to the memory card option on the main menu, then go to 'Removable Storage', then the Zen should either tell you to connect a USB cord or insert a memory card. Try it, if not I dont know.

The Card Reader you are using is probably not compatible with SDHC Memory Cards (High Capacity SD). You may need to get an SCHC compatible reader or check the website for your product to see if the is a driver update. You can get a new reader for about $20 bones if needed. I had the same issue.

SOURCE: SD card reader not recognizing card
the original file (apparently version 2.0) is here:
http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:2288as3q0skJ:www.asus.it/support/download/selectftp.aspx%3Fl1_id%3D3%26l2_id%3D45%26l3_id%3D0%26m_id%3D1%26f_name%3DCardReader_050118.zip~zaqwedc+CardReader_050118.zip&hl=en
the updated driver (version 2.3) is located here:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=V6V&SLanguage=de-de
scroll down to where you see RICOH card reader driver
or more specifically this link here:
http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/V6V/CardReader_XP_2K_050808.zip
even though the site is primarily in german, all the component names are in english, go figure. So it would seem that the asus comp manufacturer are a little more forthcoming than dell in this particular instance. for example, nowhere on my component sheet does it say that RICOH is the manufacturer for the card reader, that's something i got from you guys on the forums
anyway, after installing this driver and rebooting my comp, card reader immediately recognized both MMC and SD media. unfortunately, it was only able to access the mmc card, and i'll be shipping my comp off to dell for whatever motherboard replacement they're willing to give me (which i don't mind, so long as it works when it comes back to me) but i thought these links might be helpful for others who are having the same problem.
