CORRECTION RIBBON

The correction ribbon is installed on a separate mechanism on a typewriter. If you look between the regular ribbon guide and the card holder you should see the correction ribbon guides on the right and left hand side of the card holder. the spool holders will be to the right and left of the correct ribbon guides. This is true only if the typewriter has a correction mechanism installed. Some machines do not have a correction mechanism. Correction is achieved by using a correction tab which is held by hand, in front of the letter to be removed, or white out. Some correction tapes attach to the bottom of the print ribbon.

I have a brother GX6750 typewriter do not understand how to install correction ribbon

well, the correction ribbon is for erasing mistakes, it literally, pulls the ink off the paper, but you have to hit the correction button, the type writer will back up and pull the ink, but you would hear ait and be able to tell the diff. I think maybe you should check 1st that the ink ribbon is the 1 closest to you, and the correction ribbon is behind the ink ribbon- also make sure they are in the correct direction- ink side of the ribbon facing your paper- sticky side of the correction ribbon facing the paper- so its you, the ink ribbon and then the correction ribbon then the paper

I can't get the ribbon cartridge in the down position to type.

It seems to me that your cartridge is not sitting correctly. If you are using an OEM ribbon, then it may well just be that you have not correctly inserted the casing. In that case, I suggest you try again.

If you are using a COMPATIBLE ribbon, then it is most likely due to wrong design of the casing. Unfortunately, some compatible ribbons in the marketplace do come with lugs, even though they look very similar to the correct cartridges. If you require further advice or would like to replace your ribbons, i suggest you contact www.inkribbonpaper.co.uk.

How do I put in new ribbon in the wheel writer 1000

Your description is a little hard to understand, but it sounds like you bought a ribbon and it dosen't work right.
If the ribbon looks lie the old one then to install it like this.
1) Insert the two little feet on the ribbon into the the cut outs on the front of the ribbon deck and snap it into place.
2) If the ribbon dosen't look the same you have the wrong ribbon.

Correction Tape

Two possibilities, one the correction tape is twisted and the wrong side is .facing the paper. The shinny side should be facing you, the dull side facing the paper. Second possibility you must make sure the ribbon is compatible with the correction tape. There are 2 types of ribbons. A correctable one (orange or yellow knob) and a multi strike (blue or purple knob on ribbon cartridge). The lift off correction tape (orange or yellow spools) only works with the correctable ribbon and the cover up correction tape (blue) works with the multistrike ribbon.
