I have the same problem but can't find any adjustment. Thought it was the satillite dish but, no. Network channels come in good but the others are almost impossible to hear. It isn't worth taking to a repair shop - what a waste!

Take it to the shop, not very expensive.
Very heavy tv.
In home repair (armed robbery).

Check and replace damaged component/s at it main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

I have a Toshiba 32a50 TV (2000) that will not work with its remote. The remote works on other TVs but NOT the one it came with. Is there a way to 'reset' the sensor or is there a part that has gone bad...

hi, usually its the infrared receptor that need to be replace, he is placed near the stand by light.
in a rare case the problem is at the 5v voltage that goes to the receptor. more rare is the possibility
that something is wrong at the microprocessor circuit. good luck!

No owner manual. How to hook up stereo cable.

there will be on the back of the tv two "audio output" jacks( L & R ),one red one white. those two connected to the "audio input" on the stereo will give you the tv sound

Toshiba Color Television....now picture is black and white

The missing color issue can be resolved by resoldering the loose contacts in your units circuitry. Your unit is still worth to be fixed.

if you are have electronic school you can try to repair the circuit of
sonud .you can try after unplugging the tv to open it and check with eyes if the lousdspeaker is connected to circuit (simple case ) or check the circuit that may be troble transistor or ic or something else -delfo
