Fax confirmation In our office we have an Aficio Fax 5000L and it's working fine. The problem is when it prints confirmations, they come out landscape instead of portarit which cuts everything off. Please help!!

To disable a confirmation report each time you fax, you need to make a change in the Parameter Settings. To do this, perform the following:

• Press User Tools
• Using the up and down arrows, select Fax Features
• Press OK
• The "switch" you need to modify is switch #3.
  
• After hitting OK, use the arrows to scroll down to switch 03.
  
• Once there, press 00
• Press User Tools

Your machine is now set up to fax without printing a confirmation report. The transaction will still be stored and can be made part of a more general report.

If you require printed confirmation that your faxes weresuccessfully sent, follow these instructions to enable fax confirmation beforesending any faxes. The default fax confirmation setting is Off. This meansthat a confirmation report is not printed for each fax sent or received. Aconfirmation message indicating whether a fax was successfully sent appearsbriefly on the control-panel display after each transaction. NOTE: You can include an image of the first page of the faxon the Fax Sent Confirmation report if you choose On Fax Send or Send &Receive, and if you scan the fax to send from memory To enable fax confirmation

Follow the steps below to enable the Fax confirmation on Sent and recieved.

On the printer :

1. Press Setup ( ).
2. Press the right arrow button ( ) to select Print Report , and then press OK .
3. Press the right arrow button ( ) to select one of the following options:
   • On Fax Send: Print a confirmation page every time you send a fax.
   • On Fax Receive: Print a confirmation page every time you receive a fax.
   • Send & Receive: Print a confirmation page every time you send or receive a fax.
4. Press OK .

on the printer itself --> press the setup button--> use the arrow keys on the printer and move to print report option --> press ok when you select print report--> Find out fax confirmation option and press ok --> turn it on.

If you do not find the Fax confirmation option under print report then find it under Tools option.

Press setup on printer --> press arrow key on printer and finid tools --> under that try to find the fax confirmation option.

once you switch on the fax confirmation option on the printer. every time you send a fax you will receive a fax confirmation also.

i think its in the user\system menu, press the fax option and find the confirmation report it will be there somewhere.

Tip If you choose On Fax Send or Send & Receive, and scan your fax to send from memory, you can include an image of the first page of the fax on the Fax Sent Confirmation report. Press Setup, press 2, and then press 2 again. Select On from the Image on Fax Send Report menu.
