Lost remote I own a technics dv290 dvd/ hi fi system and lost the remote, i am wanting to buy a replacement for it with a one for all remote, so i just have one remote for tv, hifi etc, I have been on there website but cannot find one thats says it will control the technics, cheers mike davies

i am trying to do same thing - i suggest connect ps3 via optical cable to hi fi red/ white cables via a optical/ rca adaptor, the ps3 is connected to tv via hdmi so play dvd via ps3 sound will play through hi fi - but remember dont need the yellow dvd cable from hifi dvd player to tv any more as you will be using the ps3 as a dvd player instead
The number of the system is actually SC-DV290 the number you gave is actually the reg number of one of the component parts. In the box " Enter model number, if known", enter SC-DV290 and press "search". Agree to the terms and view / download the manual. Hope this helps.
